Fbxw7 was identified as a tumor suppressor gene that participated in ubiquitination and degradation of oncogenes [22, 23, 35], including c-myc, which is supported by our observation that knockdown of Fbxw7 augmented the protein and mRNA expression levels of c-myc. c‐myc is a proto‐oncogene and is activated in over half of human cancers [36].
