By cell proliferation assay, wound healing and transwell assay in vitro and subcutaneous tumor-bearing and CRLM nude mouse models in vivo, we found that downregulated p-STAT3 in SW480-exS1PR1 cells resulted in significantly decreased proliferation (Fig. 4b), migration (Fig. 4c), and invasion (Fig. 4d) in vitro, when compared with the control group, and a significant decrease in subcutaneous tumor size and liver metastases in vivo (Fig. 4e). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and neoplasm.
