To test the implication of HIF-1α in LCO lung inflammation, we first used chetomin which binds to the Zn2+-binding cysteine/histidine rich 1 (CH1) domain of p300, leading to a reduction of the interaction between HIF-1α and P300 [16] and reduces the expression of HIF-1α target genes [16, 31]. This evidence concerns the gene EP300 and inflammatory response.
