Hosting snoRNAs in the introns is, expectedly, not unique to the GAS5 tumor suppressor gene, but is a feature shared with other human lncRNA genes—some of which are oncogenes: SNHG16 (Small Nucleolar RNA Host Gene 16; also known as NCRAN, non-coding RNA expressed in aggressive neuroblastoma [22]), SNHG1 [23] and SNHG5 [24], shown in Table 1. This evidence concerns the gene SNHG16 and neuroblastoma.
