Urinary NRP-1 mRNA levels in patients with active LN were significantly increased when compared with other groups: SLE patients with active disease without renal involvement (30.70 ± 111.8 vs. 1.03 ± 0.94 relative expression; p = 0.01), other glomerular diseases (3.35 ± 3.65 relative expression; p = 0.03), and healthy controls (1.03 ± 0.95 relative expression; p = 0.02) (Figure 1A).
