Female breast cancer patients with mutations in BRCA1 (n=106) or BRCA2 (n=19) had a similar mean age of diagnosis (34.0 years (range 21–72) and 37.7 years (range 23-56), respectively, p=0.073, Wilcoxon rank-sum test), which did not differ to that of non-carriers (n=377) (35.7 years (range 18-78). This evidence concerns the gene BRCA2 and breast cancer.
