GSTP1 and glioma: In conclusion, a case-controlled study, including a total of 724 subjects was performed, and showed that the GSTP1 gene Ile105Val (rs1695) polymorphism was associated with an increased risk of glioma in the Han Chinese population, and the meta-analysis results confirmed this association and also showed that the GSTP1 Ala114Val variant was associated with overall increased risk of glioma and an increased risk in the Caucasian population, and the GSTT1 null/present variant was associated with an increased risk of glioma in the Caucasian population.
