We have identified IFNG as a regulator of IL10 production during M. bovis infection, which could account for the differential expression of IL10 observed in response to the two strains of M. bovis. Furthermore, we have shown the IL10 is responsible for the ability of the M. bovis strain G18 to dampen down at least part of the transcriptional response of bMDM to infection. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and infection.
