To assess changes in PIPs levels of prostate cell line associated with the loss of PTEN, which is known to be a tumour suppressor gene as well as a PI(3,4,5)P3 3-phosphatase, we used non-neoplastic human epithelial PNT1B prostate cells that exhibit wild-type PTEN expression, as previously reported (Fig. 1A, Supplementary Fig. 1)15.
