Since no studies to date have shown an association between miR-320a, PKCγ and pRac1 in normal epidermal homeostasis or wound healing, our findings on the ΔNp63α/miR320a/PKCγ/pRac1 axis are novel and suggest a role in both cancer cells as well as normal keratinocyte homeostasis and/or wound healing. This evidence concerns the gene PRKCG and cancer.
