Consistently, we found a significant reduction in tumor growth and increased levels of BRCA1 and RAD17 in xenografted tumors arising from the HNSCC CAL27 cell line, orthotopically and intrascapularly injected in immunocompromised mice and subsequently treated with miR-205-5p synthetic inhibitors. The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
