DLX5 and schizophrenia: Adolescent mice, heterozygous for a generalized deletion of Dlx5 and Dlx6 (Dlx5/6+/-), present traits reminiscent of human schizophrenia [31], but also gonadal [32], bone [33] and craniofacial anomalies [34] not directly associated to GABAergic interneurons.
