In the other study, the authors focused on a specific polymorphism of the HLA-G 3’untranslated region (3’UTR), specifically the 14-bp InDel and showed that it was significantly associated with the risk of developing non-segmental vitiligo in the Korean population, with a greater proportion of subjects with a homozygote INS/INS genotype in the vitiligo group compared to controls [23]. This evidence concerns the gene HLA-G and vitiligo.
