As far as serum transaminase concentrations are concerned, ALT and AST levels were significantly increased in the NASH-HF group when compared to the HL-HF group, while in the case of the ST diet-fed animals only greater levels of AST were also appreciated in NASH-ST group when compared to the HL-ST group, without differences in AST levels.
