NFKB1 and Sepsis: NF‐κB has been demonstrated to be involved the increase in morbidity and mortality in sepsis, and its activation occurs upon the degradation of IκBα and phosphorylation of NF‐κB p65 subunit.27 Alike in the present study, NF‐κB p65 subsequently translocates from the cytoplasm into the nucleus and induces the expression of inflammatory mediators.
