The remaining ten genes (CCDC28B, CREBBP, EP300, IER3IP1, MRAP2, PHF6, SH2B1, TMEM67, VPS13B), selected in the present study were therefore, screened for the first time in Pakistani families with the aim of assessing the prevalence of damaging mutations conferring early-onset obesity. Here, CREBBP is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
