The intravenous delivery of MSC-derived exosomes in a mouse model of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension showed a cytoprotective action by inhibiting vascular remodeling and reducing pulmonary hypertension through the suppression of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) and up-regulation of the miR-17 superfamily. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
