Recently, He et al have proved that the expression of DOK1/2 was inactivated by their promoter methylation, and is associated with an adverse prognosis in AML.32 The ' study by Fu et al has shown that increased DOK4 and DOK5 expression were closely related to adverse prognosis, while increased DOK7 expression was associated with a favorable prognosis in AML.33 The above literature data demonstrated that different DOK protein exerts a different effect on OS and LFS in AML. The gene discussed is DOK7; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
