We found two lifespan candidate loci which were previously associated with Alzheimer’s disease (Lambert et al. 2013): the newly identified EPHX2/CLU and, perhaps the most widely reported candidate lifespan locus: APOE (Deelen et al. 2011; Deelen et al. 2014; Broer et al. 2015). This evidence concerns the gene APOE and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
