A recent prospective multicenter observational study PROGNOSIS (prediction of short-term outcome in pregnant women with suspected preeclampsia study) was designed to analyze the serum sFlt-1 to placental growth factor (PlGF) ratio as a predictor of PE during a short-term follow-up of women with singleton pregnancies (24 weeks and 0 days to 36 weeks and 6 days of gestation) suspected of this condition [28]. This evidence concerns the gene PGF and preeclampsia.
