Analysis of data from the Diet, genomics and metabolic syndrome: an integrated nutrition, agro-food, social and economic analysis (LIPGENE; n = 442 men and women classified with metabolic syndrome) and RISCK (n = 389 men and women ‘at risk’ from metabolic syndrome) studies revealed no differences in fasted TAG following a 19 and 17 %TE MUFA diet for 12 or 16 weeks, respectively, according to the APOE genotype [33]. This evidence concerns the gene APOE and metabolic syndrome.
