RBTP up-regulated the mRNA and protein expression of LPL, PPAR-α, CYP7A1, and CPT1 in the liver of NAFLD mice and down-regulated the expression of PPAR-γ and C/EBP-α, thus reducing lipid accumulation in mice induced by high-fat diet and preventing NAFLD. This evidence concerns the gene PPARG and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
