Hence, our findings extend the association between genetic variation in the IFNL4 locus and outcome of HCV infection as well as hepatic disease (Aoki et al., 2015; Ge et al., 2009; Noureddin et al., 2013; Patin et al., 2012; Rauch et al., 2010; Suppiah et al., 2009; Tanaka et al., 2009; Thomas et al., 2009; Eslam et al., 2017). The gene discussed is IFNL4; the disease is liver disorder.
