Substantially, treatment with either DNase I to digest NETs or GSK484 (a PAD4 inhibitor) to inhibit NET release in Kindlin-3fl/flLysM-Cre mice greatly suppressed DVT (Figure 2C1 and C2), demonstrating that the enhanced DVT in Kindlin-3fl/flLysM-Cre mice at the early stage is actually facilitated by NETs. The gene discussed is PADI4; the disease is deep vein thrombosis.
