Sometimes aPL positivity is found in the presence of less specific features, defined as “non-criteria” manifestations (e.g., thrombocytopenia, valvulopathies, livaedo reticularis) (2) or the so called “lupus-like” manifestations; these patients are also included in the “aPL carriers” term. The gene discussed is FASLG; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
