Whereas, the protein expression levels of cleaved-caspase-1 and mature IL-1β were significantly decreased in the kidneys of mice treated with MCC950 (Figures 5G,I), and the release of IL-1β in the supernatant of mouse kidney was also down-regulated (Figures 5J,K), indicating that the inhibition of NLRP3 inflammsome with MCC950 suppressed ZIKV infection-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation. The gene discussed is CASP1; the disease is Zika virus infectious disease.
