The results revealed BrainAGE being also correlated to smoking duration (r = 0.20, p < 0.01), alcohol consumption (r = 0.24, p < 0.001), TNFα levels (r = 0.29, p < 0.01), verbal fluency (r = −0.25, p < 0.01), and depression (r = 0.23, p < 0.05), but not to hypertension (p = 0.9). Here, TNF is linked to major depressive disorder.
