Table 3 summarises the main final diagnosis categories and repeated tests for patients with totally or partially inappropriate redundant tests. Among the 12 patients with confirmed pneumonia, eight had inappropriate redundant tests (for example, four chest x-rays, seven CRP) and among the 59 patients with confirmed bone fracture, 19 had inappropriate redundant tests (for example, 16 new x-ray without reduction or immobilisation, four platelets counts). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is bone fracture.
