EGFR and lung adenocarcinoma: In a large population-based study [38] involving 11,678 Taiwanese patients with lung adenocarcinoma diagnosed from 2011 to 2014 (5189 males and 6489 females), female gender had a similar favorable impact on survival both in EGFR-mutated patients (HR: 0.86 (95% CI, 0.80–0.93); p < 0.001) and in EGFR-wild type patients (HR = 0.88; 95% CI, 0.81–0.96; p = 0.004).
