MMP9 and breast carcinoma: An important meta-analysis of prospective studies was conducted by Bauer et al. in (157), and they found a modest inverse association between circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D and BCa risk as concerning postmenopausal women, while apparently there was no association for younger women (157), Granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) play a central role in breast cancer and other tumors (158–163).
