As mentioned earlier, limited analysis of targeted genes associated with hepatotoxicity (Cyp1a2, Slc17a3), necrosis (OSMR), steatosis (CD36), phospholipidosis (Serpina3n) and cholestasis (Abcb4) were tested for the C57Bl/6J groups and were not found to show any change in gene expression between vehicle and MC-LR exposed groups. This evidence concerns the gene CD36 and lysosomal storage disease.
