It was found that levels of histidine triad nucleotide-binding protein 1 (HINT1), bifunctional aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (EPRS) and clusterin precursor protein (CLU) [9]; fibrinogen alpha chain precursor and prothrombin precursor [12]; and complement C3f and kininogen 1 isoform 1 precursor [10] were altered in individuals with diabetes. This evidence concerns the gene HINT1 and diabetes mellitus.
