Among the genes with 24-h rhythmic phase-shifted isoform pairs in multiple baboon tissues, we identified several oncogenes and cancer-related genes, including PCBP2, NELFE, CIRBP, and RACK1. We further compared our candidate rhythmically spliced baboon genes to a list of genes with known functionally distinct isoforms that have been experimentally validated in human. The gene discussed is CIRBP; the disease is cancer.
