We observed increases of FoxO transcription factors in the nucleus and subsequent increases in transcription of Atrogin1 and MuRF1 in skeletal muscle in denervation-induced muscle atrophy model mice, suggesting that PMAT accelerates muscle atrophy through by activating FoxO-dependent ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis in skeletal muscle. Here, TRIM63 is linked to muscle atrophy.
