We hypothesized that GP63 would continue to be able to suppress CXCL10 through both stages of infection, as transcriptomics indicate GP63 expression during both stages (Fernandes et al., 2016) while microarray expression analysis (Akopyants et al., 2004) and proteomics (de Rezende et al., 2017) have identified GP63 in lesion derived amastigotes.
