Our previous study showed that cytochrome P450 (CYP) 4A11-derived 20-HETE promotes lung cancer angiogenesis by the upregulation of VEGF [9], whereas inhibition of 20-HETE synthesis by N-hydroxy-N-(4-butyl-2 methylphenyl)-formamidine (HET0016) blocks the angiogenic responses to EGF, VEGF and FGF-2 in human glioma cell U251 and lung cancer cell A549 [9, 10].
