CRP and Sepsis: In univariate analysis, white blood cells, C-reactive protein (CRP) and days of hospitalization for the analyzed episode increased the risk of death (OR:0.999, p 0.003; OR: 0.940, p 0.020; OR:0.956, p 0.023, respectively), while sepsis and guided antibiotics were protective factors (OR:0.022, p < 0.001 and OR: 0.225, p 0.006, respectively).
