Genes that were uniquely and significantly (q-value < 0.05) downregulated in the PTSD- group following 2.5 nM of DEX were strongly enriched for several molecular pathways, including cytokine signaling, signaling by interleukins and TNF signaling pathways (Fig. 3a), while genes that were uniquely and significantly upregulated were implicated in the complement pathway, GPCR signaling and ECM-associated genes/proteins (Fig. 3b, Table S4). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is post-traumatic stress disorder.
