The RNA-Seq analysis identified the altered expression of many genes related to immune responses, including various cytokines and chemokines (e.g., CSF2, CCL2, CXCL6, CXCL8, CXCL14, IL1A, IL-6, TGFB3, and TNFSF18 were upregulated and CSF1, CCL4, CCL18, CCL26, CXCL12, IL-15, and TNF were downregulated), along with several members of the complement pathway (C3, C5, C6, C7, MBL1 [ENSOARG00000010165], CFI, CD46, PTX3, C4BPA, and C4BPB were upregulated and C1QA and C1QB were downregulated), confirming a substantial host response to infection and tumor growth. Here, CXCL14 is linked to neoplasm.
