Fiscella et al. [46] explored BP and hypertension disparities between non-Hispanic Blacks and non-Hispanic Whites using NHANES 2001–2006 data and found that they could be partially explained by socio-demographic factors, health status, health insurance, health care access, and other biomarkers including hemoglobin A1c(%), C reactive protein, and albumin. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and hypertensive disorder.
