Ingenuity pathway analysis revealed that the unique canonical pathways most strongly associated with the inflammatory markers in each of the clusters are: cluster A, “T helper cell differentiation”; cluster B, “TREM1 signaling and hepatic fibrosis/hepatic stellate cell activation”; cluster C, “granulocyte and agranulocyte adhesion and diapedesis and airway pathology in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”; and cluster D, “the role of hypercytokinemia/hyperchemokinemia in the pathogenesis of influenza and hematopoiesis from pluripotent stem cells”. Here, TREM1 is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
