We found that cancers with high Δ133TP53β mRNA (Group A) were associated with (1) a high proliferative index; increased (2) CD3+ T cells, (3) PD-1 on infiltrating T-cells, (4) PD-L1 on cancer cells, (5) CD163 and CSF1R-positive macrophages; and poor patient outcome. Here, CD163 is linked to cancer.
