Tao et al. reported that GAERP, GEREANVM, and AEVG can effectively scavenge free radicals and protect human liver cancer cell line (HepG2) from H2O2-induced oxidative damage through reducing the malondialdehyde (MDA) level and promoting the contents of glutathione reductase (GSH-Rx), SOD, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and catalase (CAT) [22]. This evidence concerns the gene CAT and liver cancer.
