VEGFA and arteriovenous hemangioma/malformation: Given that Gorsi et al. were able to show that Sulf1KD induces arteriovenous malformations in zebrafish larvae which were prevented by the coinjection of Vegfa165 and that Sulf1−/−; Sulf2−/− mice have reduced VEGF signaling [1, 9, 13], we aimed to determine whether ectopic Vegfa 165 could restore the leaky GFB in Tg(l-fabp:eGFP-DBP) larvae with reduced sulfatase expression.
