Furthermore, the GFP-Lc3 localization patterns observed in response to infections with the mutant S. Typhimurium strains were similar to those observed with the wild type strain (Masud et al., 2019; Figures 2B1–4), as in all cases the GFP-Lc3 signal appeared either in the form of fluorescent puncta associated with single bacterial cells or bacterial clusters, or as fluorescent rings around the bacterial cells or clusters (Figures 2B–G).
