CCR5 and stroke disorder: Here, we studied a chronic stroke population, though our approach could be applied in the early post-stroke period to examine impact on plasticity with emerging neuroprotective/neuroplasticity agents such as NA-1 (Tat-NR2B9c), an inhibitor of postsynaptic density-95 protein (Hill et al., 2012; Dobkin, 2017), or maraviroc, a CCR5 antagonist (Sorce et al., 2010).
