In bladder cancer cells, it has been reported that (i) the formation of a complex between H19 and the polycomb subunit EZH2 directly inhibits CDH1 expression by modulation of trimethylated lysine 27 of histone H3 (H3K27me3) level onto the CDH1 promoter [51], and (ii) a reduction of ITGB3 mRNA occurs upon H19 overexpression [54]. The gene discussed is EZH2; the disease is urinary bladder cancer.
