A recent study in lung tissues from animal models and in human lung cells used an integrative genomics approach to demonstrate a positive regulation of the C-type lectin domain family 4 member E (CLEC4E) gene and the CD300 molecule like family member F (CD300LF) during ARDS, which were previously detected by a transcriptome-wide association study (TWAS) (Table 1) [76]. This evidence concerns the gene CLEC4E and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
