Colony formation and transwell assays show that the increase in E2F1 expression could partially restore the proliferation and migration of SGC7901 and MGC803 cells with eIF3b inhibition; this indicates that the role of eIF3b in the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells was partially dependent on E2F1 (Fig. 4d, e). The gene discussed is E2F1; the disease is gastric cancer.
