SMYD3 and ovarian carcinoma: Using real-time PCR, we found that silencing SMYD3 significantly decreased the mRNA levels of CCNA2, CCNB2, CCND2, CDK1 and CDK2 (p<0.05) but increased the mRNA levels of WEE1 (p<0.05), suggesting an essential role for SMYD3 in ovarian carcinoma proliferation (Figure 2E).
